#novpad - Day 1

Today is the first day of November Poem-a-day which is hosted by @RobertLeeBrewer over at Writer's Digest.  Each day a different writing prompt is given (and two on Tuesday) that poets tackle and share with each other on his page, on Twitter, or on blogs.

So the prompt is to "write a procrastination" or a "proactive" poem.

Since the day is almost over, I'll write the procrastination one.

* * * * *

I don’t know why I waited all day
it’s not like I don’t have anything to do
should complete my work first and then play
I don’t know why I waited all day
sunlight has gone, I need it to stay
foot by foot walking the path, stay true
I don’t know why I waited all day
it’s not like I don’t have anything to do
