Do you want this book?
I know you do.
I'm sure you've heard about how fabulous it is by now, and due to circumstances out of your control, you have not been able to get a copy for yourself yet. No problem, I'm going to help you out.
You can have my copy. For free.
*and here comes the catch*
You must give me your first born child, so that my mother can have at least one grandchild, and she can be happy with the world.
*okay, the real catch*
You can have the book if you enter my contest. Here's what you can do to win:
1. Describe your favorite scene in the movie 16 Candles - 5 entries
2. Follow my blog - 1 entry
3. Tell me your favorite Maxwell song - 5 entries
4. Follow me on Twitter - 1 entry
5. Tell me what the original name for 32 Candles was going to be - 10 entries
6. Follow Ernessa T. Carter on Twitter - 1 entry
7. Write me a quatrain on any topic - 10 entries
It's up to you how many of the above you choose to do, but the more you do, the better your chances to win.
Don't forget to leave your email address in your comment and tally your entry points for me please. Good luck.
The contest ends August 15th.
P.S. Don't think that I'm giving away my copy
because I didn't like the book. That is far from
the truth. I won a copy of the book from another
blog. Since I have it on my Nook and have it in
hardback already, I figured I'd share this copy with you.

2. I already FOLLOW YOUR BLOG and am happy that I do!
3. Although I play "Black Summer's Night," every day and enjoy many of the songs, my FAVORITE MAXWELL SONG IS "THIS WOMAN'S WORK." I cherish Kate Bush's original version, but Maxwell revamps and reinvents the song. Both artists articulate pain and regret in their videos, but Maxwell's impeccable vocal range and masculinity make the lyrics more poignant and realistic. I cry whenever I hear either version.

Lush Life
I always thought I’d live a lush life.
And, for the most part, I do.
While my life has its full share of strife,
I bathe in its bounty … in God’s glorious dew.

1 point each for the follows: 1 blog and 2 twitters.
Favorite scene from 16 candles--well it's a shortie. The quick scene where Duck is riding on the exercise bike--on top of his tall she-body crush. Don't ask me why, but that scene always left me feeling pretty empowered. I was also in kiddie school surrounded by big head boys who wanted to dominate me in so many ways so I responded to what looked like a role reversal.
Favorite Maxwell song: Lifetime. Hands down.
13 points total.
I may come back with a quatrain though. :)

2. i've been following your blog for like.. a LONG time now! Lol
3. so hard to choose, however, i must go with my favorite song period, "This Woman's Work" because whether it's Kate Bush or Maxwell's version, the song is so beautiful... but it's just something about the way Maxwell sings it that's...refreshing. I feel like my pain & his pain become one in those few minutes of the song & everything is at peace.... i love that song to pieces (especially the Live version).
