NaPoWriMo: ReadWritePoem Prompt #10: MFA Musings

Not really one for personal celebration
but let me get accepted at Indiana U
it would be quite a different situation
I'd be jumping up and down like a kangaroo
the news magically appearing in every conversation
a smile staying permanently on my face like glue
keeping it in my pocket, I'd carry the letter
a reminder of the day my poetic life got better.

Oh, do I know this feeling where we remember the day, the weather and where we were standing when the news came. Evocative!
