Abandoment for New

Well, you may have figured out by now that I have abandoned this blog.  It's because I started a new blog at Wordpress and I just don't have the energy to maintain two blogs.  I can't bear to totally delete this one.

So come visit me over at my other blog.

Bye!

Twitter Book Club - #SalvagetheBones - Pages 1-57.

Here are the questions from today's Salvage the Bones discussion if you missed it.

1. What is Esch's "girly heart" and why do you think she gives it away so freely?

2. How do you think Manny feels about Esch and do you think she knows?

3. When Esch reaches out to touch Manny, he pulls away.  Do you think that changes how she feels about him? Should it?

Also two questions were brought up by @JenifaTaughtMe and @mazzie.

1. What is the relationship between Randall and Skeetah? They aren't very brotherly...

2. Why does the author entwine the puppy birthing story with Esch and Manny?

2012 Nook Reading Challenge

I see all of these other blogs doing reading challenges and I think it's a cool idea, so I'd like to do one too.  My challenge is going to be fairly easy, only 12 books, but this challenge is not only about reading, it's about using my Nook.  It's also about the lack of space in my book shelves to add any more books, as a matter of fact, I need to weed some of them out.  This challenge will force me to actually use my Nook because I still prefer actual books to digital ones.

If you have a Nook too and want to join me, I'll be discussing the books I read on Twitter at #12Nook.

Which Nook book shall I read first?

The big envelope

Before I made a concrete decision to apply to library school, I completed an application for the Johns Hopkins Writing program.

Although I am interested in taking my writing to the next level, I'm still going to head to library school in the fall.

*Side-note*

Both library schools I applied for also have MFA programs. That is not by coincidence.
